The Welder is responsible for the layout, fit, and fabrication of steel and aluminum components into structural forms, such as decks frames, stairs units, and decorative stage elements. Necessary skills include: ability to read and follow design and technical documents, verification of part compatibility between sections of the project, and maintaining a high standard of final weld. This is a non-exempt hourly position that includes eligibility for PTO, health insurance, and 401k program after probationary period.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate within standard operating and safety procedures
- Liaise and communicate well with other departments in finishing projects in a timely manner and quality fashion
- Achieve the creation of high-quality Versa gear that represents the company well in the global staging market
- Utilize Technical Design documents in the construction of staging and equipment
- Complete all assigned crew training modules
- Verify sizes, assemble parts, and tack together for final welding
- Weld structural elements with TIG or MIG welding methods
- Modify and update parts as directed, dependent on project needs
